The South Florida Science Museum offers you a 22,000 square-foot meeting and event facility for all of your event needs in one of the most unique settings that you can imagine. Whether it's a "Black Tie” event or an after hours company party the South Florida Science Museum is the perfect setting.

Planetarium Shows
(Seats up to 60 individuals)
THE FRIENDLY STARS
(25 minute show): A live, interactive show, “The Friendly Stars”, is a perfect introduction to the planetarium experience for our youngest visitors. Learn about the daytime and nighttime sky as our Sun comes for a personal visit.
PLANETS
(40 minute show): A virtual tour of our solar system.
ASTRONAUT
(30 minute show): What does it take to become an astronaut? What’s it like on the International Space Station? How does space travel affect the human body? This program will take you into space while exploring the effects that space travel has on our bodies.
NIGHT SKIES ABOVE THE PALM BEACHES
(25 minute show): View the stars and constellations in our night sky.
KALUOKA ‘HINA-THE ENCHANTED REEF
(25 minute show): This film is the worldwide first family entertainment 3D-animation feature film originally produced for the 360° Dome Projection Format, offering a completely new and unique visual panorama experience. The film transports the viewer to a tropical reef, a one-of-a-kind world: colorful and foreign, full of adventure and danger, riddles and mysteries, old legends and myths.
LASER SHOW
(40 minute show): A laser concert set to music.

NITROMANIA
Welcome to a “cool” program that helps you understand the properties of two of the most abundant things on earth: water and nitrogen. Through many exciting demonstrations, you will identify science concepts working through each step of the scientific method.
EXCITING ELECTRONS
This program is sure to make everyone’s eyes light up when they understand how electricity can flow through a system! A variety of demonstrations with volunteer participation is the key to understanding electricity and magnetism. A portion of this program is dedicated to renewable energies.

CHEMICAL CONCOCTIONS
The program is designed to reinforce chemistry concepts. Hands-on experiments will help you understand the differences between the states of matter on an atomic level. After a brief discussion about polymers, you will have the opportunity to make your own!
SHARK TOOTH
Explore the fascinating world of sharks and their relatives. Working collaboratively, students will utilize scientific observation to sort and classify genuine fossil shark teeth. While studying real shark jaws students learn about shark senses and habitats and make their own fossil shark tooth necklace.
TOUCH TANK
Learn about the lives, classifications, anatomies, and habitats of some of Florida’s coastal creatures in this living presentation. You will have the unique opportunity to examine and touch various sea creatures (limited to 30 people).
FOSSIL DIG
In this unique program you learn about fossils and Ice-Age Florida. You will dig for real Florida fossils outside in our specially designed excavation pit. Best of all, participants get to keep all of the fossils they find (limited to 25 people)!
