Claws, Paws & Jaws   June 10 - 14

Are you ready to tear into summer? Explore the world of animals on land and sea.  Learn about how and why animals eat, hide, travel, climb, and a whole lot more! Identify jaws of different sharks, paw prints from different mammals, and claws from crustaceans. Make and take home your own claw and shark tooth necklaces!

Out of this World!   June 17 - 21

Prepare to blast off as we explore outer space - stars, sun, moon and the planets. You will become an expert astronomer learning the constellations, launching model rockets and learning about distant worlds, robotic rovers, and telescopes.

Build It, Launch It, Thrill It   June 24 - 28       

Creativity is the key for this exciting week of camp. Use your brain to engineer creative solutions to our daily challenges and then bring your ideas to life as you build these crazy contraptions. Challenges include egg drops, rocket launches and more!

Potions 101   July 1 – 5*

Do you like to mix things up?  Put your safety goggles on and get ready for a week full of fizzy fun! Make slippery slime, create foggy dry ice storms, erupt sudsy soda bottles and much more!  We hope you don't mind getting messy... this camp has it all!

H2Ocean   July 8 - 12

Take a closer look at sea life in our own backyard. During this exciting week, you will become a Junior Marine Biologist learning all about the ocean, marine animals and how they survive. Participate in ocean animal dissections, examine live ocean animals and pet a live stingray.

Food Frenzy   July 15 - 19

It's time to play with your food and enjoy a week of science that's never tasted so good! Experience the kitchen chemistry behind your favorite foods and candies. Learn how to make a solar oven, ice cream without a freezer and more! Bring your appetite for a fun-filled week of food!

T-Rex Trek   July 22 -26

Dress up like a caveman and go on a dinosaur egg hunt. Use fossils to get up close and personal with dinosaurs and learn more about what our planet was like when they were alive by making an erupting volcano. Make dinosaur prints, your own Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth casting and hatch your very own dinosaur egg!

Superhero Science   July 29 – Aug. 2

It's a bird; it's a plane, its Superhero week at the South Florida Science Museum.  Superheroes may just be from the movies and comics but there is science behind superpowers.  Learn how magnetism, electricity, genetics, and even chemistry relate to superhero superpowers.

Blast off   August 5 - 9

3...2...1...Blast Off! Become an astronaut this week and learn what it's like to live on the International Space Station. Learn how to moon walk, build your own telescope, create lunar explosions, and participate in lunar crater experiments.

Science Stew   August 12 - 16

This week highlights the most amazing experiments of summer camp!  Don't miss out on the coolest science experiments and labs the museum has to offer.  If you are a young scientist, you will love our science adventure mix of experiments, labs, dissections, activities and crafts.
