annual Spooky Science event on Friday, October 30, 2009 from 6pm to 10pm.
Spook-tacular funfor all ages, this event will feature not-so-spooky-storytelling, “terrifying” touch tanks, a “spooky”
science trail, lunar and planetary observations with the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches and much more! New this year, the Museum will hold a spooky-themed K’NEX Design Challenge in conjunction with the Museum’s current traveling exhibition, K’NEX: Building Thrill Rides. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., October 21, 2009 – The South Florida Science Museum and Palm
Beach Zoo welcomed more than 120 teachers representing 49 schools to the 2nd Annual Teacher
Open House on Friday, October 16, 2009. The event hosted more than 24 educational vendors
and exhibitors from cultural institutions and featured a number of educational demonstrations.
Science teachers were admitted free to both institutions and received lunch sponsored by Pearson,
Holt McDougal and ExploreLearning. The open house gave teachers the opportunity to preview the
many educational programs offered by both the South Florida Science Museum and the Palm
Beach Zoo. Teachers learned new, hands-on classroom activities appropriate for grades K - 12...

PGA National Resort on Saturday, October 24, 2009 adorned in dazzling gowns and breathtaking

West Palm Beach, Fla., Monday, January 4, 2010 – Something big is coming to the South Florida Science Museum beginning January 16th through May 2nd, 2010. Diggin’ Dinosaurs: An Adventure Millions of Years in the Making features many of the most feared terrestrial carnivores including the massive Giganotosaurus, a genus of carcharodontosaurid dinosaur that lived 98 to 96 million years ago, to other larger-than-life predators including, the Monolophosaurus, Tuojiangosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor. Dinosaurs Captivate Children of All Ages at Museum Preview Party WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., January 20, 2010 – The members of the South Florida Science Museum Kids Club celebrated the museum’s newest traveling exhibition at a special preview event on Friday, January 15 at the museum. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., February 4, 2010 – The South Florida Science Museum, in
partnership with Hoffman’s Chocolates, will host Science of Chocolate on Saturday, February 6th
from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, February 7th from noon to 4pm. This fun-filled weekend will include
chocolate samples, educational demonstrations, a raffle and a sampling from the Hoffman’s
sumptuous chocolate fountain. Museum guests will learn about the chemistry of dark, milk and
white chocolate and will also enjoy exploring the Museum while discovering fascinating chocolate
facts throughout the exhibit galleries...

Today the South Florida Science Museum announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 700 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families now through Labor Day.
