Spring 2013 Home School Session

May 1st Engineering is Elementary 1

Engineering is Elementary is a highly respected program that is used in schools nation-wide. The curriculum focuses on problem solving and critical thinking in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.  Students will be presented with an engineering problem and will work together to solve it by designing and creating their own constructions.

May 15th Engineering is Elementary 2

Part 2 of our Engineering is Elementary program.  During this session, students will be presented with a new engineering problem and will work together to solve it by designing and creating their own constructions.

Summer 2013 Home School Session

June 19th - Crazy Contraptions

Give your brain a workout and flex those creativity muscles at the same time! During this session, students will be presented with unique engineering challenges that will test their logical thinking and creative problem solving skills. Designing and building their own solutions to these challenges will also give them first-hand experience with the creative design process.

July 10th - Rocket Science

Strap on your thinking caps and prepare for launch! This session is all about rockets. Discover some of the science behind these high flying machines and then design and build your own. Then take a trip to our "launch pad" and see your creation take flight!

July 24th - Crafty Calculations

It's the classic summer activity - arts and crafts...and math? Math is everywhere; lurking just below the surface. But it doesn't have to be scary. This session will attempt to prove that math can be fun and even beautiful if we just give it a chance.

August 14th - Simplified Science

You don't always have to have the latest technology to learn about science. Join us as we build some simple scientific devices made from everyday items.
