Early LEARNING Program           


Come visit our Museum as it debuts its first early learning program, where we make learning fun and exciting. Your child will be introduced to chemistry, biology, physics, and geology through play-based, hands-on activities that stimulate thought and teach cause and effect.  Young children learn through play, and each class provides an experience for your child that is both educational and memorable!

Who Children, ages 18 months to 4 years….and their mommy, daddy, grandparent, or caregiver

The Museum’s early learning education program makes learning fun and exciting. Your child will be introduced to chemistry, biology, physics, and geology through play-based, hands-on activities that stimulate thought and teach cause and effect. Each session is infused with age appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around him or her. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, free play structured by the week’s themes, arts and crafts, and music and movement. Young children learn through play, and each class provides an experience for your child that is both educational and memorable!

 

When

Once a week, for 75 minutes, for 7 consecutive weeks. Program cost is $80.00 for Museum Members and $95.00 for Non-Members.

Early Learning: Mix it Up - Chemistry for Kids

Does your young scientist like to get messy or help out in the kitchen? Children are never too young to mix up chemical concoctions. Join us in making bubbly potions, gooey slime, cool chemical reactions, color mixing, and much more! Sessions are infused with age appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around him or her. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, free play structured by the week's theme, arts and crafts, and music and movement.

Early Learning: Florida Fun!

Discover how fun and fascinating Florida can be! We will interact with live animals from the beach and the Everglades, search for bugs on our science trail, and experiment with the heat of the Florida sun. Also, find out about ways to protect the Florida animals and their homes. Sessions are infused with age appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around him or her. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, free play structured by the week's theme, arts and crafts, and music and movement.

Early Learning: 'All About Me' Science

What’s more interesting than YOU and ME?! Come explore the wonders of the human body from the hair on our head to the heart in our chest. Listening to the sounds of instruments with your ears; creating art with your unique fingerprints; and following food through the digestive tract of an over-stuffed doll are just some of the ways we will learn ‘All About Me.’ Sessions are infused with age appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around him or her. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, free play structured by the week's theme, arts and crafts, and music and movement.
